Surfrider Foundation

Problem: Plastic Pollution has become a pandemic. Up to 12.7 million tonnes of plastic enters the oceans every year, threatening marine life, and ruining our beaches and surf breaks.

Solution: Get people to give a damn and know about plastic pollution, clean up their beaches, and give them a chance to get a surfboard out of it.

3D printed surfboard experience
With 3D printing technology, the Surfrider Foundation and Yuyo surfboards have teamed up so a surfer can now turn trash into something you can shred on. Surfers remove plastic trash from beaches and deposit in a Surfrider 3D printing machine and watch as plastic pollution is transformed into surfboards. The more a surfer contributes, the more credits they receive to get their board.
